Forever Creating & Designing
Hello & Welcome! My name is Ariana Bello, some call me Ari for short, which I love because it’s as if we’ve known each other forever (if we haven’t, haha!). Ok, ok let’s get to it. I am the owner and creative designer behind Paper Paint Lipstick. I am also a mom to two pretty amazing boys who are my world and who I sometimes stare at and wonder “how did you both turn out so perfect and amazing?!”. Becoming a mom pushed me to creating this brand but before I go there I am also a wife. I am married to my high school sweetheart, my best friend & the love of life. We are a military family since my husband is a Veteran and currently active in the Army. If you are former military or a military family, thank you for your service and sacrifice!
My creativity blossomed when I was younger. My dad and brothers are really artistic and I was exposed to art very young, thanks to the amazing teachers I’ve been lucky to have had since preschool. When I was in Junior HS, my mom made me join an after school program in my neighborhood to keep me busy but it turned out to be something I absolutely fell in love with. Our team of preteens were chosen to paint a mural in our neighborhood hospital and one of my drawings were featured in Lincoln Squares Theatre with other kid artists. Needless to say, I fell in love with art and designing since then. Fast forward to my first born’s 1st Birthday Party. Lucas, who many know as Lucas the Great. He loved Dr. Seuss as much as I did and so it was a no brainer. My very first time designing, creating and realizing how much I enjoyed it and how NOT so easy it was to find the right materials. But overall, the birthday was a success! Kids went home with goodie bags filled with a mix of stationery and toys and were able to choose from a stack of Dr. Seuss books, which I purchased in bulk from Ebay.
It wasn’t until Lucas’s Minecraft 5th Birthday when I realized I needed to get this business up and running. This was my very first DIY-everything party. From his invitations to the custom shirts for the kids and his entire outfit including hand painted converse. I even made the cake pops, which later realized baking is just not my calling!! I wouldn’t trade any of my experiences, in fact I would relive the rollercoaster because it has brought me to where I am today.
So now to the brand name, which many are so curious about. Paper Paint Lipstick’s name derived from the love I have for paper and the different textures and weights that exists for it, the brush strokes that calm me when I’m painting and the chic and pretty details I love to add that leaves my signature mark. I take pride in customizing, creating memories and learning as I go. Staying true to my esthetic and style is extremely important to me. One of my top goals is always “I want the finish product to read Paper Paint Lipstick all over it” because I take so much pride in translating your vision into a WOW moment and giving a lasting memory for your special occasion. As creatives, our minds go to so many places and we generate so many possibilities of how an idea can be designed, so having a creative release is always something I have on hand and that would be my iPad Pro aka my creative hub. What is your creative release?
I hope you continue to join me in my journey of sharing my ideas and designs with you. This blog is the beginning of a community I intend to build and blossom as I continue to create and design. As always, Creative Vibes Only, xoxo.
